Toleka Events presents rumba royalty Nyboma — the golden voice of Congolese rumba — back in London by popular demand to open Toleka’s celebration of Africa’s legendary and emerging musical voices. Taking place at Soul Mama on Sunday 24th August 2025, this special evening launches Toleka’s bold new series honouring Africa’s greatest musical icons. Widely hailed as Africa’s greatest tenor vocalist, Nyboma performs live with full band, delivering timeless rumba and soukous classics, featuring African bass lines, intricate Sébène sections, and interlocking guitar lines. The evening also features BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Edu, spinning the best in Afrobeats, soukous, and rumba, with hosting by Cultural Ambassadors DJ Edu and Ziyah Hamandishe — A special party launch at Soul Mama not to be missed.
