Toleka Events presents rumba royalty Nyboma — the golden voice of Congolese rumba — back in London by popular demand to open Toleka’s celebration of Africa’s legendary and emerging musical voices. Taking place at Outernet London’s Lower Third on Thursday 28th August 2025, this event launches Toleka’s bold new series at Outernet, where tech, curation, and heritage meet, honouring Africa’s greatest musical icons. Widely hailed as Africa’s greatest tenor vocalist, Nyboma performs live with full band, delivering timeless rumba and soukous classics, featuring African bass lines, intricate Sébène sections, and interlocking guitar lines. The night also features one of Africa’s finest DJs, playing rumba, soukous and Afrobeats, with African dancers taking to the dance floor to join a vibrant audience in an immersive experience of hip-shaking Congolese rhythms and rumba steps— with non-stop Sébène guitar, soaring vocals, transforming the venue into an authentic, cutting-edge celebration of African rhythm and innovation.
